Dr. E. L Janari is a Proudly South African General Practitioner who consults from his private practice located at 21 Joe Marks Boulevard, Retreat, Cape Town. Dr Janari completed his medical degree at the University of Cape Town in 1980 and went into private practice shortly thereafter in 1982. His practice has been seeing to the primary health care needs of the residents of Cape Town for the past 32 years and Dr Janari has special interests in Paediatrics and Dermatology.
When a patient seeks medical attention, he or she would in most cases first consult with a General Practitioner who would act as the first point of contact between the patient & a specialist or hospital. General Practitioners are medical professionals who are trained to diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic illnesses in patients who suffer from asthma, hypertension and diabetes.
General Practitioners do not specialize in any specific fields of medicine and in cases where a GP is faced with a diagnosis that he or she cannot treat, it is up to the discretion of the GP to refer the patient to a specialist physician who deals exclusively with the organ or part of the body that is troubling the patient.
